Eleuthera Sailing Adventures
For a day sail, Eventide departs from Harbour Island or Whale point for a 1 to 2 hour voyage to Man Island.
The protected sound behind Harbour Island is about 5 miles long and 2 miles wide. There is plenty of room to sail on calm waters. Typical routes are shown in yellow.
Man Island is uninhabited. Activities ashore include snorkeling shallow reefs, exploring rocky shoreline, gathering sea glass and shells, and relaxing on uncrowded beaches. There are shade trees and a fire pit on the beach, and nature trails in the preserve.
Day sails usually depart around 10 or 11, and return around 4 or 5, but schedule is flexible. Depending on the season, an alternative is to depart later in the day and return at sunset. Another possibility is a sunset cruise returning after dark.
